Dear Parents/Guardians:
On Monday, September 20, 2021, a Huntington High School student tested positive for COVID-19. The student and all individuals possibly exposed to COVID have been quarantined. The district is monitoring the situation and working with the Local Public Health Authority to ensure that all state requirements and mandates are followed.
The Huntington School District places the safety of students and staff as a top priority. The district has implemented numerous COVID-19 protocols in an effort to reduce the risk of transmission and spread of COVID-19 within our school. The district will continue working with local and state agencies to ensure a health and safe learning environment for all students.
Additional updates will be provided if deemed necessary by the district. If you have additional questions or concerns please contact the school district at (541) 869-2204 or visit the Huntington School website at

We are excited to let you know that we will be able to offer preschool this year. Preschool will be open to students who will be old enough to be in kindergarten next school year. That means that your child will need to be 4 years old by September 1st of 2021.
Preschool will begin on Monday, September 13th. Class will be held Monday through Thursday, from 1:00pm to 2:30pm. We will need a copy of your child's birth certificate and a copy of his/her immunization records. There are also a couple of forms that you will need to fill out and return to the office, which can be picked up at the office before the first day or they will be sent home on the first day. If you have any questions, please give the school a call at 869-2204.
Sincerely,
Huntington Staff
